Located in West Long Branch, New Jersey.  Research in Dr. Phifer-Rixey’s lab spans a variety of systems, applying an evolutionary perspective to the study of adaptation, speciation, and population genetics. The lab is currently primarily engaged in three projects: 1) The genetics of adaptation in wild house mice 2) Population genetics of local fisheries 3) Using eDNA to assess community composition in local fisheries. Participating teachers would be welcome to work on their own project within one of these areas, and, hopefully, would continue to collaborate with the lab going forward.  Timing: Late May – Early August
